Harajuku, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, Japan
@tintin and @korinasegaya's favorite area, Harajuku is made up of many cute retail shops. It's known to be the mecca for Japanese youth culture. We loved it so much that we went back on our last day in Tokyo for some last minute shopping! 👟🛍 The photo shows the starting point of the famous Takeshita Dori (from Harajuku Station). That sea of people is a usual sight on weekends. Come on a weekday if you don't want to drown in the crowd (but honestly, cutting through the people to get to stores was an experience in itself). 🌈

You’re in for the (culture) shock of your life at Harajuku, Tokyo’s street fashion capital and alternative youth lifestyle hub. Spot teens flaunting outrageous costumes, mismatched styles, and punk-rock makeup as they casually strut their stuff along the district. Ask kindly, and they’ll even let you photograph them! While you’re here, get your fix of Japan’s over-the-top kawaii trend (かわいい, cute) at Takeshita Dori. It’s actually a street crammed with clothing boutiques, specialty stores, and fashionable food outlets. Take a break at Marion Crepes, and re-energize with one of the yummy (and pretty) French desserts displayed on the window.

Akihabara is a staple place to visit whenever you travel to Japan. It is known for being an otaku's dream world. It is a city filled with anime merchandise and otaku culture. It is also home to a lot of bizarre-themed cafes and bars, which I would like to visit someday. I always find myself watching YouTube videos from my favorite English speaking Japanese based content creators (CDawgVA, Akidearest) whenever they post weirdly cool places which always capture my attention. It would be fun to visit Akihabara someday with my otaku friends.

As a gamer, and a huge nerd, this place felt like home to me. I love all the arcades, otaku related things (maid cafes, manga cafes) and just the overall vibe the place itself brings.

Tokyo is famous for Anime, electronics, manga, and video games and Akihabara is the epicenter if it all. If your a big fan of One Piece, Naruto, Attack on Titan, and so much more anime this is your first destination as the street is filled with so much anime enthusiast, toys, games, maid cafes, and everything you fantasize being in when watching your favorite anime.
