I had lunch in Blackbird at the Nielson Tower last December. I went with my close friends from work. There was plenty of parking and as we went inside we were glad to see they took their safety protocols very seriously. We chose to dine in their al fresco area. It's good to be in open air because it's the safer option when eating out. I ordered the Grilled Peppered Tuna Steak and it was very delicious! The staff's service was top notch and they really knew when we needed them for anything. My final verdict: although the food on the menu is on the pricey side, it's a good place to celebrate special occasions. Everything about this place is picture worthy as well.

Blackbird is hidden away in plain sight. The mysterious building on the fringes of the Ayala Triangle Gardens is actually a luxurious restaurant escaping away from the busy streets. History runs deep in Blackbird, as it is hosted in the passenger’s terminal and control tower (called Nielson Tower) of the country’s first commercial airport. It’s the history of Nielson Tower that inspired Blackbird’s menu. Inspirations from the West meet the East as the chefs behind the kitchen’s station pluck influences from all over the map. Blackbird has a way of updating these historic references in its own way, from the sleek interiors to every dish. Classic pastas, pizzas, and grilled meats take equal importance as the Rendang, Nasi Goreng, or Poké.

Perfect for date nights — visit Hill Station by Casa Vallejo. Right in the heart of Baguio City. Fine dining food but worth it!
