Calde and I have been going to Crazy Katsu since it first opened. It’s a very simple restaurant, which primarily caters to students of nearby University of the Philippines in Diliman. That said, the prices are very affordable! Everything’s so good, especially their signature Chicken Katsu. We love the place’s whole aesthetic, too!
After failed visits to two other popular tonkatsu restaurants in Ginza, I stumbled upon Anzu. There was a line when we got to the place, which we deemed a good sign. The tonkatsu was decent in size, shape, and price; and each order comes with heaps of cabbage! 🐷 It's in one of the top floors of the Mitsukoshi department store, so there's a pretty decent view. 🌃
My second katsu of choice. The mille-feuille Cheese and Black Pepper Tonkatsu, my favorite flavors, are served with unlimited rice, miso soup, and shredded cabbage. I often crave for this after working out. Lol!
