Clara Around The World

Global

We may come from different places and have different skin colors; but at the end of the day we’re all connected. We're all humans. My cabin crew experience gave me the privilege to work with more than 80 nationalities. Although we came from different countries, the only thing that matters to each and every one of us at the end of the day is how happy we are. I see it wherever I go.

El Nido

19 saves

Puerto Princesa, Philippines • Recommendation •

I was once at a dark phase in my life, and the things that helped me get out of that bubble were yoga and meditation. Not everyone going through depression talks freely about it, much less know what’s truly going on in their minds. I started conceptualizing Salt & Sky eco-resort in 2016, hoping to provide a sanctuary and a “home away from home” where people can escape and just be their authentic selves. The entire system is eco-friendly, and we also support the employment of locals around the area.

Happiness Beach Bar

Puerto Princesa, Philippines • Recommendation •

This restaurant is another hidden gem in El Nido. They serve insanely good Israeli-Mediterranean dishes, some of which are vegetarian friendly! Their staff is lovely too and will make you feel at home as soon as you enter. Don’t miss out on their cocktails as they have the finest ones in El Nido!

Nacpan Beach

Puerto Princesa, Philippines • Recommendation •

If your definition of unwinding is somewhere quiet, serene, and close to nature — El Nido will never fail to amaze you! Nacpan Beach has been voted as one of the best beaches in the world, oblivious to the knowledge of many. It’s 30 minutes away from the town proper, but it’s worth the travel and effort! I’m not trying to be biased because our resort is near Nacpan Beach, but I’ve been to a lot of beaches in the world and nothing compares to its beauty.

Taj Mahal

Āgra, India • Memory •

When it comes to architecture, the iconic Taj Mahal is one of the best sights. It’s unbelievably stunning. History says that the palace hotel was built at a time of a huge epidemic to help rebuild the city’s pleasant image. A timely inspiration for all of us today, isn’t it?

What a treat to get away in nature! The Grand Canyon is one of the best spots to see geological wonders, and offers a ton of healing energy. Its high elevation is perfect for an out-of-this world yoga experience, as seen on this moment I keep dearly with me!

For adventurous people searching for the best place to rejuvenate, I can’t think of a better place but New York! You can stay there for a year and you never have to dine in a restaurant twice because of the vast array of options! There are just so many things to do, from jogging in Central Park to partying hard at the clubs — which are the absolute best in the world!

Emirates Palace

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates • Recommendation •

Out of my 15 years experience as a cabin crew, this has got to be one of the most glamorous places I’ve ever set foot in. It's Abu Dahbi’s most lavish hotel, no less! Everything here is gold plated, from the interior arches to dishes such as gold-dusted camel burger. It’s purely magical!
