In the haze of the daily grind, I find solace within the black walls of Empty Gallery. Stephen Cheng, its founder, built the gallery with the words “tai kong” (太空) or extreme emptiness in mind. All you’re left is a quiet moment alone with the artwork. Gather your thoughts away from the distractions of the outside world, and ponder on Empty Gallery’s time-based art—whether that’s video projections, installations, or multimedia art.

Mahabang Buhangin Beach, Calaguas Island Buhangin Beach is really like Boracay, it is 3 km long but none of the huge crowds and noisy establishments. I love how it’s still rustic despite there are already a lot of resorts lining the shore. The sand was super fine too and the water is clear and turquoise-colored – still quite pristine. I also loved the part where before the break of dawn we trekked up the hills of Tinaga Island to watch the sunrise; it was one for the books, most definitely. The mobile signal on the island is very scarce as well so it’s a nice time to take a break from social media and just enjoy the beauty of nature around you.

Overlooking Art Cafe - Binangonan Rizal Artsy people will love this place. I love how this place is simple yet very intriguing because of the various things you get to see here. The place is quiet and clean, but most of all I love being surrounded by clean fresh air out of the busy metro. Im sure you will love this place too!
Balaw Balaw Restaurant and Art Gallery
I’m a fan of exotic food so I go to Angono, Rizal just for Balaw Balaw! Before, they would serve a wide variety of weird food that might make people squirm—deer, wild pig, grasshopper, frog, python, horse meat, and a lot more! These are the dishes that you won’t find anywhere else and I love them! However, DENR (Department of Environment and Natural Resources) restrictions have halted them from offering those unique dishes. The good thing about that place is the taste of the food is pleasant and the ambiance is great, even though it’s far. It’s worth coming back to!
