Go to Leche to try unique ice cream concoctions based on popular Filipino desserts and other weird flavors! We tried about six flavors, and these are my favorites: 1. Bilo-Bilo - Bilo-Bilo are sticky rice balls, a popular ingredient in “ginataan” or sweet coconut milk soup. Leche’s Bilo-Bilo ice cream features ube ice cream topped with coconut, sweet potato and banana chips, and—of course—bilo-bilo. My favorite! 2. Champorado + Tuyo - Champorado is a sweet chocolate rice porridge from the PH. Leche’s ice cream version is a scoop of dark chocolate ice cream topped with dried fish. Don’t ask me how it works. It just does. 3. Cocomangsi - Coconut + Mango + Calamansi. Three of the most popular Filipino flavors coming together in one scoop of coconut ice cream topped with dried mango, calamansi, and rice crispies. Yum! Bonus: Kape + Yosi (Coffee + Cigarettes) - Coffee ice cream flavored with Cherrywood chips so it has a weird cigarette after-taste. An experience.
