Pasig City
The one where I list all the shops, services, and activities I’ve ever tried in SM Megamall. Since moving to Pasig City, this has become my “neighborhood” mall—and when I say “neighborhood,” I mean the largest mall in the Philippines so far. When SM said they’ve got it all for you, this is the mall they were referring to. You can’t miss it. 📷 via SM Megamall/Facebook
When I feel the need to relive my childhood as a competing figure skater, there’s nowhere else to go but here (because other skating rinks are just so damn far). I can’t do jumps and spins anymore, but I can still get a proper workout when I can splurge the ₱450 fee for a whole day of ice time.

I haven’t played here yet, but it’s one of the newest lanes I know of!

The type of theater you splurge on for summer blockbusters and Marvel movies. This is the next best thing to the Director’s Club experience (where you have butler service and unlimited drinks and snacks).

Here, you get exactly what they say they stock: novelties and curiosities! @caldefool and I bought our door mat here. I actually love their quirky home stuff! They also have a lot of cool whatchamacallits for when you have extra money you just want to spend on random things.

One of those shops you will *always* find something you’d want to buy. This store consigns a lot of stuff from local artists—from stickers to enamel pins, keychains to accessories, metal straws and leather goods...the list is long. I personally go here if I need to find small yet meaningful gifts for friends!

When I’m just passing time, usually while waiting to meet up with friends who work near Megamall, I just drop by Filbar’s to look at all the Funko Pop I won’t ever buy. (K, fine. I buy *sometimes*) Most Pops are priced ₱595, the rest are more expensive depending on how rare or limited they are. 📷 via Filbar’s Online/Facebook

When I need anything for my Nintendo Switch Lite, whether it be games or accessories, this is where I go. I bought my console in another branch, but it’s pretty convenient they have branches in most major malls. 📷 via Datablitz/Website

The mother of all book stores in the Philippines. Of course, Megamall has one of the busiest branches in Metro Manila. It’s not the best stocked branch, but it’s pretty decent. I’m “Laking National,” so this is an auto-recommend.

Yes, everyone knows you go to Divisoria for the minute details you need for your wedding day. Not everyone has the time, though, so The Wedding Library to the rescue! @caldefool and I bought our pillows, arrhae, and cord for our Catholic ceremony here. It’s pretty convenient, but expect for it to be more expensive than usual.

The prettiest café in Megamall! Sunnies has improved their menu so much since they opened their first branch in BGC. I genuinely enjoy the food here now, not just the ~aesthetics~. My favorites are: • Pumpkin Purée Soup • Truffle Taters • Spicy Calamari • Pot Roast Beef • Umami Surf & Turf Bowl
Mega Atrium, SM Megamall, Ortigas Center, Mandaluyong, Metro Manila, Philippines
I once spent a few hours here to work remotely. It’s pretty quiet, which is great! They don’t have electrical sockets for laptops, so charge yours if you want to work here. Their Garlic Skinnies (crispy fries served with aioli) and Honey Latte are pretty decent. Yes, I like eating fries while drinking coffee. 😛

My absolute favorite sushi place. It’s a big kiosk in the Mega Fashion Hall Food Hall, so you won’t miss it. Get the following if you want to try my recommendations: • Aburi 2.0 Poké Bowl • 5 of a Kind Aburi Maki (Tamago, Kani, Salmon, Tuna, and Unagiiiii. Huhu!) Thank me later.

I’m not kidding when I say Ooma has a no-fail menu. Everything I’ve tried so far, I’ve been satisfied with. They also have a new menu, so this is an update on my previous recommendation. My list of personal favorites are now: • Mushroom Chips (So simple, but so good!) • Hanger Steak (The greatest of all time.) • Uni Udon & Beef Udon • Steak Aburi Maki • Soft Shell Crab Taco Maki • Crispy Tako Maki (Baby octopus + tamago!) GG!

One of the first local restaurants to offer their own take on the popular umami chicken recipe, Bad Bird’s meals are worth it despite being on the pricier side. The servings are huge, and the flavors even better. Get the Fried Chicken Combo Plate if you’re hungry. I always get my chicken with a “safe” level of spice and Torched Corn & Cheese. Yum!
Doña Julia Vargas Ave, Ortigas Center, Mandaluyong, Metro Manila, Philippines
A new food hall in Megamall, EatTogether is a concept coming from the same guys behind Vikings. I’ve so far only tried the La Paz Batchoy from the Frituen Batsoy stall and it was pretty good! I’m coming back to try Tong Yang Shabu Shabu Express next!
SM Megamall, Level 2, Building A, SM Megamall, Mandaluyong City, Ortigas Center, Mandaluyong, 1550 Metro Manila, Philippines
They’re finally in Manila! I’ve so far stuck to the ShackBurger + Cheese Fries combo, but I’m looking to try the Ube Shake milkshake, Calamansi Pie Oh My or Uuube-by baby concrete! 🍔
