Nothing like a sky-high building and its view to make you contemplate your insignificant existence. It’s definitely tourist-y, but a must-see on your first visit to Taipei!

Shame it was friggin raining and fogging when we attempted to Taipei 101 ourselves. So we ended up eating and milktea-ing our misery away. I got to say, the tower was so magical at night. It was so pretty. A little FYI: back in 2004, this building was the tallest in the world that it made the Guinness World Record until Burj Khalifa broke its reign.
Beautiful views both inside and out. The even less than a minute ride on the elevator is an entertaining showcase of lights. Makes you really feel like you’re on top of the world.

The National Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall is a famous national monument, landmark and tourist attraction erected in memory of Generalissimo Chiang Kai-shek, former President of the Republic of China. When it comes to architecture, the iconic Taj Mahal is one of the best sights. It’s unbelievably stunning. History says that the palace hotel was built at a time of a huge epidemic to help rebuild the city’s pleasant image. A timely inspiration for all of us today, isn’t it?
