Mount Fuji – or Fujisan in Japanese – is the highest peak in the Fuji volcanic chain in central Japan and is the country's highest and most beautiful mountain. Almost perfectly round, its symmetrical form has long been celebrated in poetry and painting. The best known of these homages to this beautiful mountain can be found in the 8th-century verses of Yamabe Akahito, and the series of woodcuts, Views of Fuji, by Hokusai at the turn of the 19th century.

Japan is another nation I'd like to see. Japan is well-known for its gorgeous and well-organized country. The famed Mount Fuji, Japan's tallest mountain at 12,388 feet, was one of the tourist attractions I wanted to see.

Fuji-san, such a picturesque volcano! I’ve only seen it from the airplane window going to Tokyo, still very spectacular from that range. I imagine sitting in a hot spring with an ice cold Kirin on hand and just taking in its presence. Mmm... 🍺 Last eruption: 1707

The Chess Valley Walk is a 10-mile walk through the Chilterns Hills. And if you’re looking for one of the best day hikes from London town, guess what? You’ve found it! Starting in Rickmansworth and ending in Chesham, or vice versa, the walk takes four to five hours of strolling through timeless English countryside. All within a short tube or train ride to central London. It’s an ideal hike for beginners, families, couples, and anyone looking for an escape rather than a physical challenge. The route takes in manor houses, a Roman farm villa and even watercress beds. Yep, that’s right: you get to see watercress sleeping. Lucky you! For the most part the route winds along the River Chess: so you’ll feel like a king or queen, and you definitely won’t be board. So, check it out! (Chess, get it?!)
