Pambato Reef

Puerto Princesa, Philippines • Memory •

A nice site for snorkeling awaits you at the Pambato Reef in Honda Bay, Puerto Princesa City, Palawan. A floating platform in the middle of the ocean serves as the gateway to a wonderful underwater paradise. If you will get a Honda Bay tour package from your chosen travel agency, I highly recommend this to be included on your list. Expect to see a lot of beautiful fishes and clams. 😍

Upon arrival, you have to walk for a couple of minutes along in a mini forest where you can find several monkeys. You should keep your belonging especially your camera. It is their favorite thing to steal from the tourist. It'll be impossible for you to get it back. Hurting the monkeys isn't a good idea too so you better be vigilant. The underground river is a majestic place. You will feel the true meaning of wonders of nature. If you're scared of snakes, bats, including the unpleasant smell inside, then this place is not for you. Reminder: Don’t look up with your mouth open – the bats might give you a nasty surprise! For your attire, you must wear comfortable outfit and slippers. Also, don't forget to bring some snacks and bottled water because you can't find a store there. Overall, I highly recommend this place to be included on your list for itinerary. P. S. You need to set a budget of PHP 1,500.00 (USD 31.00) for this activity.

Nagtabon Beach

Puerto Princesa, Philippines • Memory •

Nagtabon Beach is in the northwestern part of Puerto Princesa, on the west coastline of Palawan facing the West Philippine Sea. This beautiful beach is not a resort. It is a public beach where you can visit any time. For me, it is more a sanctuary than a tourist attraction. I highly recommend this beach if you like the following: 1. Hate a beach with so many people; 2. A non-commercialized area 3. A beach where you can do surfing 4. Have a sip of good coffee in front of the beach The only store I found there was the Surf Surf Cafe. The owner of the business is also a surfer, and the way they prepare the food is so amazing. Visit this place soon while it is still undiscovered by others. 🙂
