My absolute fave Vietnamese restaurant in bkk!! Fresh ingredients, friendly staff and just mind blowing food 🤤 My recommended menu: 💕Steamed rice rolls with pork: in the photo - more like steamed heaven 💕Bahn Xeo: Lightest and crispiest Vietnamese pancake filled with pork, shrimp and veggies 💕Beef Pho: heartwarming and soul warming 💕Grilled pork with fried sticky rice: almost as good of a combo as Chrissy Teigan and John Legend 💕Shrimp wrapped in sugarcane: wrap it with dry rice rolls and veggies, you’re welcome 😜 *note: the sauces that come with it are LIT ☕️ The Vietnamese egg coffee here is better than the one I had in Hanoi! Trust me! Most importantly, make sure to bring an empty stomach to fill it up with delicious goodies!

My absolute favorite place to go for authentic ก๋วยเตี๋ยวคั่วไก่ Guay Tiew Kua Gai (lit trans: Noodle Mix Chicken, aka Yummy Noodle Goodness)! The noodles are crispy and fragrant from the burning hot fire yet bouncy at the same time because of the freshness of the noodles. It’s only open in the evening so make sure you grab a plate of noodles with chicken, marinated squid and eggs for dinner!

A few steps away from Tonkin Annam, this ice cream shop is actually the front of someone’s house! The owner is always so friendly to passerby’s that one day I stopped and decided to give it a try. The fresh coconut ice cream is so refreshing and the traditional Thai toppings go so well together! 😍 Toppings I love 🍧 💖Pink water chestnut 🖤Black grass jelly 🍚Sticky rice 💛Foi thong (Gold threads made out of egg yolk and sugar) My childhood memory definitely involves the taste of fresh coconut ice cream that would usually be sold from an old wheely cart. The vendor selling the ice cream would serve it in a plastic cup or bread roll and you can add your preferred topping. What can’t a good fresh cup of coconut ice cream not solve? 🍦(maybe the virus but hey, gotta enjoy life right?)

If you’re filling up on savory food, head over to this stop at Thong Lo for a break and fill up that extra space in your stomach that’s especially reserved for sweet stuff! The sweetness of the soft ripe mangoes and the fragrant sticky rice immediately teleports you to the epitome of Thai dessert heaven. Buy some to eat during your food hop or ask for some unripe mangoes (calculated by when you will eat them) to take home! If you’re going on a flight they do a fab job in packing them in tightly sealed boxes 👌🏼

An absolute MUST for all dessert lovers!! It’s the kinda place you can go to when you’re in need of a sugar rush or when you have just stuffed yourself at a nearby restaurant but you still don’t feel satisfied... THIS is where you come to feel satisfied!! The kakigori (korean bingsu) is like fluffy snow from the tip of Mount Fuji being drenched in your favorite flavor (my favs are hojicha and thai milk tea)! If you’ve still got space do try the Honey Toast... it’s like meeting a long lost lover who you never knew existed.

My cousin has been coming here for years! I have to say, hands down best cocktails in town (for now!) 🍸 Not only are the cocktails so good (and strong) that you don’t even taste the immense amount of alcohol in it, but the food is also very mouth watering! Cocktails to order (bear in mind, I have a sweet tooth): 🍹Mangosteen cocktail 🍹Mango sticky rice cocktail *if you just tell them your preferred base and flavor they’ll make sure they create the cocktail of your dreams 🤩 Try the sticky toffee pudding here. It’s worth the calories that you won’t burn off in your sleep but it will definitely give you sweet dreams! *NOTE: You better try their homemade chocolate shots before you leave, that will give you EXTRA sweet dreams 🥳
