Masungi Georeserve

6 saves

Binangonan, Philippines • Recommendation •

Masungi Georeserve is one of my favorite places to go whenever I want to go for an adventure. I've been here like 3x already but it always felt like the first. By the way, Masungi Georeserve has two destinations: Discovery Trail and Legacy. Both of them are for adventure seekers and nature trippers. Masungi Georeserve is conservation area and a rustic rock garden. Here, you can find the Discovery Trail which consists of terrain and trails that are all instagram-worthy. I've visited this place and I love how they developed the area for us to see and appreciate nature. On the other hand, the Legacy Trail is an immersion where you can participate in tree planting activity. The cost of visit here is cheaper than in Discovery. The duration of both of the activities can last from 3 to 4 hours.

Cagbalete Island

2 saves

Santa Cruz, Philippines • Memory •

Believe me, there are a lot of good beaches near Metro Manila and one of these is Cagbalete Island. I've heard about this place a long time ago but I didn't know why it took me so long to finally visit it. The travel time is approximately 5 to 7hrs. Well, it depends if you have a lot of stop overs or if you are on commute. But trust me, it's worth your travel time. From Metro Manila, you have to ride a bus then a ferry when you reach Mauban port. When we went here, it was easy breezy and hella fun! The sand is white, indeed. But the only thing that I didn't like is the shallow water specially in the morning when the tide is too low. But overall, this place deserves to be noticed. No worries on accommodations coz there are a lot of places to stay in.

DARANAK FALLS TANAY

3 saves

Binangonan, Philippines • Memory •

Daranak Falls is very popular in the province of Tanay, Rizal coz it's one of the nearest waterfalls in Manila. When we went to Masungi, I asked my officemates if we could go on a side trip here even for an hour. The falls is reacheable via car then a little walk inside. I liked the lush greens in the surroundings. When I saw the waterfalls, it was so mesmerizing in person. Hopefully, they could still continue to preserve this place with cleanliness.

Talisayen Cove

Olongapo, Philippines • Memory •

I guess, one of the most underrated places in Zambales is Talisayen Cove. Most of the people only knew Anawangin or Nagsasa but Talisayen deserves to be seen by travelers, too. This place is part of coves in San Antonio, Zambales. I heard stories that it was formed when Mt. Pinatubo errupted way back years ago that might also considered as a beautiful disaster. Almost all of things I found at Talisayen is the same like in Anawangin. The sand is fine gray in color. The mountain is wallpaper like, very relaxing and photogenic. The sea water is blue green and very calm because of the perfect weather. And the trees, how could I forget about it, very beautiful woods that all I can  think of are foxes and bunnies. Check all my photos to appreciate it's beauty. Hopefully, I could revisit this place when the pandemic is over.

Borawan Island Beach Quezon Province

1 save

Lucena, Philippines • Recommendation •

No budget for Boracay and Palawan? How about Borawan? Yes, Borawan is combination of those places coz white sand + rock formation. This place is part of our island hopping in Quezon province. This island is so small and the shoreline is very short. The sand is white but there are a bit of crushed corals and stones.
