Osaka Castle goes as far as 1583, can you believe that?!
It has survived all catastrophes one can think of—wars, lightning fire, typhoon. Its beauty masks its scars like they never happened.
When Vince and I visited the castle, a Taiko group served the tourists a spine-tingling performance that left me crying quiet and overwhelmed tears. Man, it was so soul-shaking, it was beautiful! I must book a class for a whole day just training Taiko when I go back to Japan!
I've always wanted to experience life in New Zealand and one of the places I will visit first once I get there is the Hobbiton 🧝♂️. Who wouldn't want to try the simple and peaceful life of the hobbits (except for the running away from orcs and addiction to rings), right?
The site is said to be the exact location where Portuguese Magellan planted the cross upon his arrival in Cebu in March 1521. As stated on the marker at the bottom of the cross, the original artifact is encased inside the wooden Tindalo cross. The painted ceiling illustrates this historic event.
