"Ang Sarili" was the painting I submitted for TSKP's 3rd Philippine Arts Summit, held last October 18 to 20. The event's aim was to promote the awareness of and educate Filipinos on the value and importance of Philippine arts and culture. The artwork I made was a self-portrait: a painting of myself wearing traditional Filipina clothing, looking at something from a distance while pondering what it means to be me, a Filipina in this day and age.
