Christmas has always been something I look forward to. The thought of Christmas drawing nearer gave me hope. That's why I share with the joy and excitement of little children when the day is approaching. We look forward to Christmas songs being played everywhere. To walking down the street lit by dainty Christmas lights. To the colorful lanterns displayed at people's homes. These are the days when places become more vibrant. And this season brings us hope for a reason. The very star we see in the lanterns reminds us of the star of Bethlehem. It's the star that reminds us of God's great love for us. As it is the celebration of God's ultimate gift-- the birth of Jesus-- I pray children be given the chance to have new hope.
