Ukit sa Kisame

On November 16, 2018, I went to the Presidential Museum and Library (formerly the Malacañang Museum) with two college classmates. Literally every corner of the space was filled with art! Aside from the displays, the interiors were gorgeous too. I took photos of the exhibited presidential clothing, paintings, bronze sculptures, and architectural ornamentations in the place. This piece, which I called "Ukit sa Kisame", is inspired by an intricate wood carving detail I saw in the museum. While there were paintings displayed on the wall, a beautiful carved pattern was also found on the ceiling. Dimensions: 12"x12" With Free Frame Material: Watercolor on Paper Year: 2021
