Restos in the Metro

Antipolo, Quezon City

Our foodie adventures were cut short by the pandemic. Sadly, it seems that we will have to wait just a little bit longer before we can go and visit our food spots again. But this doesn’t mean that we can’t enjoy meals from our favorite restos while staying at home. Thanks to take out and delivery services that help keep our foodie adventures alive. Here are a couple of dining places we love in Marikina and Quezon City that offer delivery, take-away, or pick-up options to satisfy our cravings at home.

Cafe Lidia

Antipolo, Philippines • Recommendation •

This small nook in Marikina is known for a mix of Italian, American, and Filipino dishes. It has a casual and homey ambiance but quite small so it may feel a bit cramped when its full. Dishes that I find worth ordering again include Buffalo Wings, Pasta ala Lidia, Pasta Marinara, Beef Stroganoff, Chicken Cordon Bleu, Roast Beef, Tenderloin Steak, Grilled Pork Belly, Tuna Salpicao, and cakes for dessert. If you live within the city then you can have your food delivered through Food Panda.

Lamp Quarters

Antipolo, Philippines • Recommendation •

Choosing a restaurant for a group of friends with different cuisine preference is no longer a problem with places like Lamp Quarters. This al fresco food park houses several restaurants with different cuisines to offer. You simply order food you like from any or all of the restos and bring it to your table to enjoy. Our top 3 favorites here are: Dampa sa Cogeo. Simply because I love crabs and shrimps. This seafoods “paluto” restaurant offers a range of seafood fares like crabs and shrimps in butter garlic, chili, or deep fried, grilled fish, squid, mussels, etc. Aside from seafood, they also have Filipino dishes like kare-kare, liempo, pakbet, pancit, etc. Oh, you should check out their group meals and boodle bundles. They’ve got great combos, the one I’d like to try is the double boodle which is eye popping and mouth-watering. Tongara Ramen. If you are looking for authentic Japanese Ramen then this is a good place to go. The noodles and the broth are really flavorful which is why I enjoyed their Tantanramen and Tongara Ramen. Wing Commander. They’ve got unli-wings, unli-rice and fries for only P380! Its really a good place to eat and hang out with your barkada. Adults can enjoy the wings with a nice cold beer while kids munch on their unli-chicken wings with cold juice drinks or shakes. All restaurants in the Lamp Quarters have delivery services that you can avail of while stay at home measures are in place.

Leann's Teahouse

4 saves

Quezon City, Philippines • Recommendation •

One of the things I love about Leann’s is the good quality meat that they serve. It’s fresh and tender, with just the right amount of fat in it. My favorite is the Meltique beef, and I can order it frozen for take-out or delivery. Aside from the Samgyeopsal and grilled meat dishes, their Bibimbap, Cheese Buldak, and Spicy Squid are also worthy additions to your meal.

Quezon City, Philippines • Recommendation •

One of the best Filipino Restaurants in town. We love dining here because of the food and ambiance. It’s like visiting your grandma’s home for lunch. We haven’t ordered anything here that we didn’t love so chances are you won’t go wrong with your pick too. While waiting for dine-in reservations to resume you can order food for pick-up only.

Delicere

4 saves

Antipolo, Philippines • Recommendation •

For couple's date night, Delicere will definitely be a great option. The ambiance is so homey with a nice and lovely garden set up outside. You can choose to dine in their air-conditioned place or al fresco. Their food selection is great and are delectable. We've spent several occasions here with the family like Valentine's Day, birthdays and anniversaries. It's actually a good place for events like wedding, birthdays and even for wedding proposals. When dining, I highly suggest for you to call first and book a reservation because most of the time the restaurant is fully occupied
