Recommendation by Lemi
Starting out as a dai pai dong (open-air food stall) in 1952, Lan Fong Yuen claims to have captured Hong Kong by inventing Pantyhose Milk Tea, a rich blend of different tea leaves mixed with creamy evaporated milk—named after the long stocking-like cloth they use to make the tea. At lunch breaks, prepare to witness droves of Central’s busy bodies coming in to grab a plate of instant gratification in the form of chicken noodles and pork chop buns. Seats are limited in the cha chaan teng so many locals pick up their food and go through the take-out counter at Lan Fong Yuen’s classic green stall.
