Wish for lady luck to be on your side to score a coveted seat at Sukiyabashi Jiro Honten. Master chef Jiro Ono—the subject of the documentary film “Jiro Dreams of Sushi”—and his son Yoshikazu artfully craft an omakase (お任せ, “I'll leave it up to you,” a meal made of dishes chosen by the chef) of 20 perfect pieces of sushi! You’ll be tempted to stay as long as you can to savor every bite, but the experience typically only lasts around 30 minutes—so get ready to eat fast!

According to the well-decorated gourmand, you have yet to try real sushi until you dine at three Michelin-starred Sukiyabashi Jiro in Tokyo. Chef Jiro Ono, who is famous as the subject of the 2011 documentary film “Jiro Dreams of Sushi,” helms the ten-seater joint. The venerated sushi master expertly crafts rice and raw fish creations at an impressive rate. Here, chef Robuchon developed a great respect for the Japanese culinary tradition. He also learned the significance of freshness, temperature, and precise slicing to guarantee high-quality sushi, applying these techniques at his own restaurants. Booking is extremely difficult. You’ll have to liaise your reservation through your hotel concierge; and even then, they might have to ask you for a local contact to up your chances for a seat. It’s all worth it though; do it for chef Robuchon!

A good place to enjoy Japanese food with it's various choices from classic ramen to donburis and sushis. Personally recommend the Hanger Steak which is super good. Be sure to have some rice ready as it may be a little salty if you're going to have just that.

Ooma has always been my go-to restaurant if I want to eat Japanese fusion dishes! Their menu is always delectable although it’s a bit on the pricier side. My faves from Ooma are the Hanger Steak and Crowd Favorites! In the Greenbelt branch, the service was slow but the staff were extremely accommodating!
