Little Flour café

Makati City, Philippines • Recommendation •

Little Flour Cafe is from the same makers as Wildflour. I've always wanted to eat breakfast there so I went with a friend one time after work. She had a Flat White while I had their Sisig Rice Bowl. It's a cute, quaint place decorated with a collection of mugs on their walls. The food was excellent and I'd come here again soon.

Mendokoro Ramenba (Salcedo Village)

Makati City, Philippines • Recommendation •

Mendokoro Ramenba is my all time favorite ramen place in Metro Manila. I've eaten here many times and everytime I do, I can't help but fall in love with the place even more. I usually order the Tatanmen Ramen paired with Gyoza. The servings are huge and you are treated to the sight of the chefs making your food in front of you. This is perfect for people who crave ramen at night like me because I work night shift so technically it would be lunchtime for me. Come prepared because lines are long and there are limited seats but I promise you, it's worth the wait.

Las Flores

Makati City, Philippines • Recommendation •

I went to Las Flores in BGC for the birthday celebration of a friend. It's a fancy place with great ambiance and lots of good food. We had the risotto and the paella. We paired our food with wine. Everything tasted divine. I would say that aside from celebrations, this place is also great for date nights.

Mama Lou's Italian Kitchen - BF HOMES

Las Pinas City, Philippines • Recommendation •

Mama Lou's Italian Kitchen is next on my list. I ate at the main branch in BF Homes which was a house that was converted into a restaurant. If you want to dine in a place that makes you feel like home, this would be it. This place is perfect for dates and they serve really good pasta and pizza. They are really known for those dishes.

Masashi-Maru Authentic Japanese Restaurant speaks for itself. If you want true-blue, authentic Japanese food (who doesn't) - this is the place for you. Perched on the roofdeck of Glorietta 2 in Makati, this hidden gem beckons you to come in and try their delectable morsels. They offer bento sets which are perfect for sharing. They come with salad and soup and leave you really full afterwards. Try the Tonkatsu and the Tempura. They also have amazing sauces which you dip them in. I recently ate here during GCQ and I can say that they practice the best safety protocols for reducing the spread of COVID-19.

Makati City, Philippines • Recommendation •

The Wholesome Table Salcedo is a nice restaurant where I ate for breakfast one time after my night shift work. I ate there with office mates and I was pleasantly greeted and served graciously the whole time by the very friendly staff. I ordered the longganisa and egg. It was very tasty!

Blackbird

Makati City, Philippines • Recommendation •

I had lunch in Blackbird at the Nielson Tower last December. I went with my close friends from work. There was plenty of parking and as we went inside we were glad to see they took their safety protocols very seriously. We chose to dine in their al fresco area. It's good to be in open air because it's the safer option when eating out. I ordered the Grilled Peppered Tuna Steak and it was very delicious! The staff's service was top notch and they really knew when we needed them for anything. My final verdict: although the food on the menu is on the pricey side, it's a good place to celebrate special occasions. Everything about this place is picture worthy as well.

Hello Kitty Cafe (Bonifacio Global City)

Makati City, Philippines • Recommendation •

I've been a Hello Kitty fan ever since I can remember so when I found out they had a cafe in the Metro, I just had to check it out. I had cute cupcakes and cookies with Hello Kitty designs. I had loads of fun and I bet those who love cute cafes (or Hello Kitty) will too.
