It’s been 15 years since I went to Hoi an! I revisited in 2023 with my family and it’s still a great place to visit (and it seems mass tourism has been slow to return post pandemic)

Nice resort hallway between Hoi an and da nang. Beautiful very clean beach (with large waves). Good breakfast buffet and a nice playground and playroom for the kids that stays open until 9pm. Easy to get a Grab to da nang (15 min) or Hoi an (30min)

Formerly the biggest ferris wheel in the world! Was shipped over from Japan and became part of “Asia park” a asia-themed theme park which looks like it was designed for hordes of tourists from China who, due to the pandemic, never arrived! Great value you can ride the wheel for $4 or get a full access pass for $8. Opens daily at 3pm, wheel at 4pm. Go for sunset views!

Of course it’s a bit touristy, but that’s because it’s so beautiful! I like the way that the old town is pedestrianised so you can wander safely. Lots of restaurants, cafes and shops to explore And lots of photo opportunities!
