If you are dreaming of a white Christmas then Bangkok, Thailand is almost certainly not the place to spend your festive season. However despite the fact that Thailand is a Buddhist country and therefore does not officially celebrate Christmas there are a lot of fun ways to spend time in the capital in December.
Bourbon street is a southern US themed restaurant in Ekkamai. During the festive season they run well priced buffets with all you can eat turkey and more. We recently tried their take home turkey for a Thanksgiving party and it was perfectly cooked! 🦃 gobble gobble

Centralworld is one of Bangkoks most popular malls but it comes in to its own around the Christmas and new year period when the mall and surrounding areas are all decked out with holiday decorations. Beer gardens set up in front of the mall and due to the cooler weather its a pleasant place to have a drink with friends.

Living in Bangkok you might be forgiven for thinking that Christmas is just a shopping festival. Even if you’re not a regular church goer, the ICA is a very welcoming place to visit especially around Christmas time. There are regular services in English. Don’t be shy to say you are a newcomer, last Christmas they gave me a Starbucks gift card ;)
