If you like nature, you will love this small garden in the middle of Makati. Walk at sunset or at night.

When the Active Park next door is too busy to your taste, the languid pace of Washington SyCip Park is a lush spot perfect for lighter jogs by the runner with a lot on their mind. Regain your zen after working up a rush in the Japanese-style garden, hidden away behind a hedge of bamboo. Take your mind off piles of paperwork with an eyeful. A canopy of trees filter in the sun gently over quirky installations that decorate the park. Paths vary from paved concrete to loose pebbles, so there’s plenty to explore! Come first thing in the morning or at the end of the day when the crowd thins out. Little pavilions and secluded corners dot the park so the general pace of the area is a little more languid—popular with the lunch break crowd.

Reclaim your zen in the little Japanese garden of Washington SyCip Park right at the heart of Legazpi Village. A bamboo hedge hides away a Japanese rock bed and row of benches. Enter from Legazpi Street and it will be to your left. The park is a little haven away from the break-neck speed of Makati Central Business District. Various art installations and benches dot the lawns, and during the day, a gazebo offers some shade by the koi pond. There are plenty of options for a moment of peace and contemplation with a loved one.

Surrounded by high-rise buildings in Diamond Hills, the Nan Lian Garden truly speaks of “the breathing space”. What sets Nan Lian Garden apart from other parks is its perfect arrangement of greeneries, ponds, and benches that allow for greater appreciation of the space. It presents a magnificent fusion of Tang-dynasty and modern architecture that is most appreciated through its one-way circular route that lets you enjoy a full experience of the place in one go. The Nan Lian Garden is a place that is brilliant for travelers who want a mesmerizing and laidback experience of Hong Kong.

Another escape from the hustle and bustle from the city, to take in what nature has to offer! I love the colorful plants and trees that surround the place, it feels just like you're abroad.

Singapore is a very beautiful city, but sometimes the locals need a break from the hustle and bustle of city-life. Where do they go? Singapore has a lot of pretty and well-maintained parks but the Southern Ridges is worth a special mention! Escape from the city with this 10km of green space, a pocket in-between skyscrapers and high-density housing. Get lost in the elevated bridges and look beneath the greeneries as you stroll.
