Makati City, Philippines • Recommendation •

A studio that regularly hosts crafting workshops. Whether you want to build a new coffee table for yourself or adopt a new hobby, they’ll have something for you! I attended a Coptic Stitch Book-Binding workshop one sunny Sunday. ☀️

UP College of Fine Arts

Quezon City, Philippines • Recommendation •

Summer of 2014, I attended a Watercolour Painting workshop here. Learned so many things from my teacher, from painting techniques to the local art scene. It was a smaller class so all my questions and concerns were always readily addressed. The college regularly holds workshops for the public when classes aren’t in session, so check their website from time to time!

Art Nebula PH

Las Pinas City, Philippines • Wishlist •

I always chance upon Art Nebula at bazaars and fairs, but I’d like to visit their brick-and-mortar. These guys really know their stuff and will help you with recommendations. They cater to lots of artists, so they’ll even give you insights from their previous clients. Probably my fave art supply store! 😍

Deovir (SM Megamall)

Pasig City, Philippines • Memory •

With multiple locations, SM Megamall’s Deovir is a little smaller than I expected. Well-stocked though! I still felt overwhelmed with all the choices. 😅 I ended up just buying a bottle of white ink and a roll of water-activated paper tape. Will definitely come back for more!

Ginhawa Craft Studio - Asian Art Cafe

Calamba, Philippines • Recommendation •

Stationed at the edge of UPLB’s Freedom Park, Ginhawa Craft Studio is perfect for painting en plein air, especially during sunset! The green fields and its flurry of activity is in full view. The Studio also hosts workshops, so check in from time to time.
