WHY SHOULD YOU VISIT? A newly opened shop in Angeles run by young people with passion and vision. Love the interior. Simple is always better. Keep it up. WHAT’S A MUST-TRY? Macadamia Latte and the cookies. WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO GO? Anytime but it could get crowded between 2-5pm.

WHY SHOULD YOU VISIT? Posh looking coffee shop to hang out with friends. WHAT’S A MUST-TRY? Tried the hazelnut latte as it seemed interesting but not really my thing. Should have ordered ny usual flat white or cappucino. WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO GO? Anytime but best at night when lights and lamps are turned on for instagram-worthy shots.

WHY SHOULD YOU VISIT? With all that white and grey, this maybe one of the most photogenic cafes in Angeles. The space is airy, the crowd is relaxed and the atmosphere casual. Just an easy place for a quick bite or long reunion with friends. WHAT IS A MUST-TRY? Try everything. I like all the drinks and dishes we ordered — Creamy Chicken and Strawberry Milk are good. WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO GO? Brunch or lunch or honestly, anytime. They have adequate menu perfect for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

WHY SHOULD YOU VISIT? This small coffee hangout along Fil-Am Highway is one of the first ones I visited in Angeles. Quiet, low-key but serves up a mean cafe latte and one of the best matcha lattes I’ve tried here in the PH. The space has a great selection of design books and magazines perfect for browsing while enjoying your cuppa. WHAT IS A MUST-TRY? The matcha is highly recommended. I have yet to try the Horchata. It seems to be a local favorite. WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO GO? Anytime. It’s decently filled up any time of the day.

WHY SHOULD YOU VISIT? This cafe serves up a decent cup of coffee, cakes and pastries plus macaron and binsu and a menu that will keep you going back for more. It almost has a rustic but elegant feel to its interiors with its high ceiling, metal and wood panels and shelves and leather seats. WHAT IS A MUST-TRY? The binsu! Almost everything looks delish. WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO GO? Anytime is a good time but note that weekend brunch and dinner time could get busy.

WHY SHOULD YOU VISIT? This quiet, cozy, and light drenched coffee shop is safely tucked away in the residential neighborhood of Villa Dolores and away from touristy Friendship Highway. This charming space with a relaxed ambience and a delightful array of inventive and unique sweet pastries is very much worth the drive. WHAT IS A MUST-TRY? All of the baked treats, Vanilla Macchiato and Matcha Cream! WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO GO? Anytime but mornings (11am) and afternoons for the best natural light.

Cuptus Coffee

Angeles City, Philippines • Recommendation •

WHY SHOULD YOU VISIT? This tiny coffee shop makes decent coffee (and tea) around on a quiet street between the busier Magalang Avenue and MacArthur Highway. The menu is limited to coffee, tea and a selection of breads and pastries that sit under improvised container on the counter. It’s adorably simple and small with bare cement walls, wooden stools and a few tables. WHAT’S A MUST-TRY? Sea Salt Latte and that Korean Cream Cheese Bomb. WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO GO? Anytime. It opens at 2pm.
