Coffee By Little Farmers

Makati City, Philippines • Recommendation •

My favorite local little coffee booth in SM MAKATI food court, they also have a branch in Pioneer Center. I always make it a habit to buy my coffee here rather than Starbucks. Not only do they have a big selection of local beans (my personal favorite is their macadamia roast) but you can also pick and choose beans to enjoy at home (grinded) it’s not only an affordable alternative to premium tasting coffee, but you’re also supporting local farmers in the mountain regions of the Philippines.

Image taken by @theflourgirl since I don’t have photos on my phone of the lovely truffle Pandesal’s my tita gifted me one day. It was sooo delicious. I lived on top of flour girl at ace building and it’s such a joy to see THE flour girl working her magic through the windows even despite the pandemic! Super talented cake maker and I highly recommend her baked goods and the 100 GRAM COOKIE!

El Poco Cantina

Makati City, Philippines • Recommendation •

A hidden gem tucked away in the heart of Taft. This hole in the wall ran by a young duo, sells Birria tacos like hot cakes. They carefully buy, prep, cook and serve their creations on the daily. They aim to serve authentic flavors while capturing the palate of the locals. Definitely more bang for your buck than most Mexican restaurants out there. Get em while it’s hot! They sell out pretty quick too. Available for delivery, check out www.elpococantina.com for orders.
