These are located parallel to one another so I recommend visiting both but be prepared to climb some stairs! Not for the faint of heart & with a fear of heights. Also try to catch the performance they give in the drum tower. Unfortunately we missed it.

First impressions matter. Therefore, to initially catch someone’s attention take them to this old area in Beijing! My starting point for taking anyone around Beijing is this drum tower. Not only can they appreciate the beautiful traditional Chinese architecture, there are also super cute shops dotted around the area!
