Eilean Donan Castle is one of the most recognised castles in Scotland. The castle is strategically located on its own little island, overlooking the Isle of Skye, at the point where three great sea-lochs meet, and surrounded by the majestic splendour of the forested mountains of Kintail, Eilean Donan’s setting is truly breath-taking. The famous castle inspired the castle for the Disney movie, Brave.

The Eilean-Donan Castle in Scotland was the inspiration for Castle DunBroch in the Disney animated movie, Brave. Scotland’s most photographed castle features monochromatic consistency as it blends with the robust bridge that leads to it, as well as the lake and the boulders that surround it. It looks incredible at every angle and is just as astonishing inside, with stone walls and gigantic paintings. Any way you look at it, your hair will stand on end—in a good way.

During Spanish colonial times, the plaza was the Plaza Mayor of Manila, and was thus considered the center of the city, with bullfights and other public events being held in the plaza until Governor-General Rafael Maria de Aguilar converted it into a garden in 1797. Plaza de Roma is surrounded by three important landmarks of Intramuros: the Manila Cathedral to the south, the Palacio del Gobernador to the west, and the Casas Consistoriales, also known as the Ayuntamiento de Manila, to the east.
