Come to Asadachi to experiment with exotic dishes! Raw pig testicles, grilled salamander, and turtle soup (call ahead to guarantee it's on the day's menu) are just some of the things that go well with a bottle of Sapporo beer! Located along the famous bar-filled area of Omoide Yokocho (also known as “Memory Lane” or “Piss Alley”), the couple-run joint runs through subjective operating hours; but it’s a safe bet to come after 3:00 PM.

Nothing can put you in the mood quite like grilled salamander, snake liquor, and fish sperm—at least, that’s what the owner of Asadachi believes! In Tokyo, Japan, hidden in the backstreets of Shinjuku, a hole-in-the-wall offers round after round of bizarre aphrodisiacs. They serve a feast of pig testicles, frog, and cow heart as well—totally raw! Asadachi, itself, means “morning wood”. Whether it works, we’ll leave for you to decide, but let’s just say they’ve been in this business for 40 years.

One of our favorite Japanese restaurant. We never fail to order their Signature Special California Maki topped with spicy tuna chunks, mangoes and ikura. I also love their Salmon Ikura bowl with its fresh and sweet salmon sashimi and Wagyu beef cubes on sticks.

Izakaya Kikufuji is one of those who serve authentic Japanese food in the metro. If I am not mistaken, this is the only branch they have. They have a wide selection of food and even drinks! I personally love the spicy maguro and ultimate maki. If you're craving for some Japanese food and can't travel yet to Japan — Izakaya Kikufuji is the next best place for you to try it!
