Ani Restaurant is located at the rooftop of Maayo Hotel in Mandaue. They are offering a merienda buffet every Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Bang for the buck with good Filipino merienda selections.

Azure Beach Club

Lapu-Lapu City, Philippines • Recommendation •

You can’t dine at Azure without having seafood so we started with Seafood Calamari. Their Truffle Bacon pizza is a must-try! And then we proceeded with their best-selling (and freshest) Seafood Platter. Since my brothers are carnivores, we also had their Grilled Spareribs. Consistent with the rest of Crimson, the food and service were excellent! The sea breeze and seaside ambiance completed the world-class experience. Tip: they also have a good Indian menu

Enye by Chele Gonzalez

Lapu-Lapu City, Philippines • Recommendation •

ENYE by Chele Gonzalez is one of the best restaurants in Mactan. Periodt! Food and service were impeccable, as always. For starters we had the must try Lechon Cebu Tacos and Gambas. The Cauliflower Gratin is such a delicious cheesy bake. Then we had the irresistible Paella Negra (!!!) and Steak. For dessert, we couldn’t get enough of the Torija! The Choco Mango Cebu was also very delighting.

Kim's Fried Dakkochi

Lapu-Lapu City, Philippines • Recommendation •

Kim’s Fried Dakkochi is available in three flavors. I loved Sweet and Spicy (P80) the most as it packed that familiar Korean taste. Soy Garlic (P80) was good too. If you can’t make up your mind, order the Original (P70) as you can top it with mustard, mayo or sweet chilli sauce to your liking. ⁣ ⁣ One stick is actually already a meal for me, so it’s definitely sulit!⁣

Turtle Eight Restaurant

Mandaue City, Philippines • Recommendation •

Turtle Eight’s menu is all-Filipino - lovely to have with family or friends with an intimate ambiance. They also have private rooms for small functions. For starters, we had Ginataang Langka (P135), Enseladang Talong (P95) and Guso salad (P85). Starting off with these prevented overeating later on. ;)⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ What followed was a fiesta of Filipino flavors and more. As a sucker for scallops, I adored their Baked Scallops (P175). T’was so good! The Deep Fried Squid Head (P185) was more squid, less breading. The Sizzling Sisig (P225) had just the right spiciness. The Rellenong Alimasag (P205) is stuffed! The Whole Manok Bisaya (P405) looked glorious and was very flavorful. We also had Pochero (P385), Pork BBQ (P35/pc.), Beef Salpicao, but the Mee Goreng (P225) is something I would most definitely come back to. ⁣⁣
