Maison Libanaise has long been a go-to place for experiencing the cultural renaissance of Beirut, the “Paris of the Middle East.” Although they are mainly known for their exquisite menu of hot and cold mezze and iconic wines, another showstopper is their labneh cheesecake. The decadent dessert is made of an impressive fusion of pillowy rich labneh, butter sugar biscuit base, and zesty pops of pomegranate seeds—guaranteed to make you hear the angels sing with every bite.

I'm gonna cut to the chase: Yalla Yalla has amazing shawarma and fries. It's the tiniest restaurant you've ever seen (I'm not even sure if it counts as a restaurant) but their food packs a punch. It's flavorful, well-balanced, and they don't skimp on the meat. The fries are on a whole other level, too. I'm pretty sure Yalla Yalla's fries have taken the mantle that McDonald's fries have once possessed in my heart. Sorry, Mickey D.
