Facing the calm waters of the northern balinese sea, 5km of black sand waterfront stretch across 7 villages to form Lovina Beach. Compared to bustling Kuta, Lovina's beaches have a calmer, quieter feel to them. The day here begins in the early hours just before dawn, as boats speed out chasing a sight of dolphins in the first light. While an unique experience, the dolphins did not seem all too fond of getting surrounded and cornered, so I hardly feel right recommending this activity. Rather, take that boat out for countless snorkeling and diving opportunities in the beautiful coral reef. 👍 While the easiest way to get to Lovina is by car, there are more budget-friendly alternatives. Did you know shuttle buses ride in from Sanur, Kuta and Ubud?
