I didn't have time to explore the full of this sprawling park, though to be honest the big pond is pretty but not that memorable. If you are pressed on time, head to the north-west corner of the park, where the hidden gem is a traditionally styled Japanese garden nestled within the bigger park. Overall, I preferred Maruyama's atmosphere (call me obsessed, but I cannot stop thinking about those ponds). 中島公園 🍁⭐⭐⭐★★ Admission: Free 🚇 Take the subway to Nakajima Koen St. The station exit is right inside the park.
